My HP monitor won't turn on unless I hold it for 10 seconds!!! And then it shuts off right away! It's telling me I have no signal input from the DVI!! Can I still hook up the Dell desktop to the HP monitor?

Sounds like you have a bad cord or something. Are you using DVI-I to DVI-D or something?

See my Dell desktop doesn't have a slot for DVI.... so therefore I get no signal for the screen to come on!!!. It has a DVI slot from the HP monitor but not the desk top!!.
