MOBO: Asus H61M-E
windows 7 32 bit
The computer (desktop, built by store) came with 1 stick of transcend 2gb ram dmm3
Everything worked fine.
When I installed another stick (it is also transcend 2gb dmm3), shortly after windows installation, I had issues. At first, it showed up on CPU-Z, but not in windows task manager.
Then I noticed that I didn't push it into the slot all the way. I turned the computer off, and pushed it in good until it clicked and the clips closed on it.
then, no boot.
I took it out, everything fine again.
I tried switching slots between the original stick and the new stick, no boot.

It could be that the stick is bad from the manufacture or damaged as a result of your installation.

You could run MemTest86 on it and see if it passes.

I'm assuming the DIMM is identical to the one already installed, as mixing ram is never a good idea.

the added ram stick is the same specs as the original one.
I tried running memory test from CD but it won't boot even to a CD. It doesn't get to the bios, just turns on the power and that's all.

right.
I brought it back to the store, and after testing the stick, they decided to replace it for me with a new one.
