Don't really know much about gamimg computers. Would just like to know if it would be better to build, or buy a gaming computer.
"Specs:
AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad-Core CPU(with after market Cooler Master Heatsink).
Gigabyte M68MT-S2 Motherboard
8GB DDR3 1333 (2 x 4GB) Memory w/ CL9 Timings
500GB SATA III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive
24x DVD±R/±RW Dual Layer Optical Drive
HiS Radeon 7700 1GB graphics card
Apevia 680 Watt Power Supply. 12v SLI ready
AZZA Orion PC Case (Black / Red)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
"
Those are the specs of the one I'm thinking of buying, it's 400$, would this be worth it, or should I just go ahed and ask how I would put together something decent for my budget.

Well the psu is low quality, as is the motherboard. And the processor is based on the crappy Bulldozer architecture. In terms of raw performance, this would be stronger than anything you can build yourself because of the 7770. However, the processor is pretty trash, so it will start to under perform fairly quickly and then you'll need to upgrade it. But it'll cost more to upgrade because you have so many things to replace.

All in all, I would say build your own because you'll get an overall balanced build (as opposed to one strong part and everything else weak) which will allow you to easily upgrade.
