I'm just deciding whether I want a micro atx computer or an atx. These are the two motherboards and I was wondering if they are the same even though one is micro atx and one is a full atx (probably a very dumb question). These are the:

Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 (ATX)

Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H (M-ATX)

Same names but are they different in what they do? Thank you and sorry if its ridiculous

The difference is the board size. ATX is the standard size board and will fit in any ATX case. M-ATX is a smaller board M is for micro. It will fit in the smaller M-ATX cases. Most ATX cases support both ATX and M-ATX boards (check case specs as a few do not). M-ATX cases will only support M-ATX boards. As a rule if you have an ATX case then buy an ATX board ect
