New card to replace MSI Hawk 5770?

My fans both went out on my MSI ATI 5770 Hawk graphics card. I noticed this when i started hitting 100-105C and BSODing quickly during games (not overclocked).

Now I am looking to replace this card and was looking for suggestions. Alternatively, if anyone has advice on how to replace the fans, this would be acceptable as well.

My rig:
Proc: i7 920
Mobo: ASUS P6X58D
HD: Intel SSD - X25M
RAM: Corsair 1600 DDR3 6GB
PS: Corsair HX 750W (CMPSU-750HX)
Monitor: Dell U2311H (1920x1080)

Not a framerate junkie but I run games like league of legends, CoD and like to play games at higher level detail.

Thanks in advance!

What resolution do you play at?
Do you have a certain budget?

Forgot to include that! I play at 1920x1080.
I don't really have a budget. I guess I'd be OK with $200 or so. am willing to spend more though if it is worth it.

I guess I should also add I also use this PC to watch movies on my TV (connected thru AVR-3312ci receiver currently connected via HDMI; monitor is DVI)

The GTX 760 is a good card for this resolution but it is 260$
GTX 660 is about 207$ (including shipping cost)

IF you only play league of legends and the lower end games (all the cod before black ops 2) then you don't need to spend more than 100$.Just buy a r7 260x.It will suit your needs,a gtx 760 is an overkill if play league and cods before black ops 2 but if u want to play cod after black ops 2 on high/ultra u'll need a gtx 760.

He can get the GTX 660 which is between the r7 260x and the GTX 760, although with more modern graphically demanding titles, he will have to dial down the graphics settings.

How about this XFX 7870 2GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... - Performs better than the 260x and worse than the gtx 760 but will easily stomp through the games the OP wants to play.

It's $199.99 with a $30 rebate and right now a $169.99 7870 seems like a steal to me.

Some charts to back up the 7870 being faster than the gtx 660.

Yes I second that. It is a great deal.

Thanks for the info! One more thing, how does the 7870 stack up to the 760? On the best card for the money article, it appears they are on the same tier?

It varies game from game, this is a special deal 7870 hence why it's vastly cheaper than the 760.

Look at the BF4 chart, The 7870 is faster than the 760 + with MANTLE it'll be faster in BF4(mantle only applies to that)

That said, in other games the 760 is faster. I'd go with the 7870 i posted though it's an absolute steal.

How much would it cost to replace the fans for the old card? I ask in case I end up building another PC in a year or so. Would it be worth holding on to for that?

it'll cost around 40$(a cheap one that'll last maybe half a year-to a year) to 100$ ( a good one that will last u for more than 3 years)

You can use the 100$ to get a card that can outperform the HD 5770 by that time for your other possible build.
