Hey guy i was just putting together my new build and i plugged 2 SATA cables connected to my optical drive and my 2 SDD's and my HDD into the "6+2 pci-e & 4+4 CPU" spots on my PSU and when i first went to boot it up my optical drive started smelling like ti was burning! im guessing this is due to a power overload or something? Would it also have ruined my hard drives? they didnt smell of smoke but i havent been able to test them due to the optical drive being out of order. Also would this mistake also have damaged my MOBO? or could it have damaged my PSU? The only link to the mobo from thoses would have been the SATA data cables so im hoping the MOBO is still intact. Thanks for your time
