What gfx card do you have? Many have a DVI-I port which has a built in analog(vga) signal, so you shouldn't need anything except a cable, or an adapter.

Wouldn't I need such a device or would the the regular converter do fine?
In other words would I need a single converter or would the adapter be fine? And also will there be difference in performance compared to a display that accepts digital input signal?
