Hi all,
Just seeking a bit of advice regarding my PSU.
I have a Silverstone strider plus 600W (st60f-p) with 42 Amps on the 12V rail. The recommended Amps is 42 for a 780.
I have a 2500K overclocked to 4.4, an ssd and 4 hard drives.
Just got a gigabyte 780 o/c version and will look to overclock this more.
I have connected it all up (apart from 2 HDD, they will not fit at the mo due to the cards length) given it a slight o/c and it seems to be working ok.
I also am running one of the 8 pin pci's off two molex connections as I only have one 8 pin cable. (If the psu is good I will get another 8 pin PCI cable).
So in you opinions, although it is working now, do I need a more powerful PSU??
Is having a bit of headroom essential? Could there be anything I should be worried about in the future if the PSU is basically at maximum output?
Thanks...
