Hello,
I have a ELITEGROUP 945GCT-M3 motherboard and CPU is Intel® Pentium® D Processor 820
(2M Cache, 2.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB). I am looking to upgrade the CPU so i can play games such as WoW and Final Fantasy. Could anyone give me some advice on what would be the best CPU that will work on my motherboard.

Solution

ok what would be the best motherboard to get and i can start from there

well if you are planning on an upgrade it would be best to give us a budget and we can start from there:)

Yup! like said, it is better to start planning for a new rig.
Upgrading to already out-of-date C2Q is only wasting away money in my opinion.
so...
Start with the budget, see what you currently have e.g. monitor, keyboard, OS, etc. to check if you have to buy new or leave them out of your budget.

you can buy some pretty decent setups already done for you on ebay with a bit of searching and research. then sell your old parts on to recoup some of your money. someone somewhere will buy them
