Please Help Dont Know What to do

Hey everyone i am looking to upgrade my system and am unsure what to upgrade next i have about 200 to spend here are my specs
Gidabyte 990fxa-ud3 MB
Phenom II 965 oc to 4.7ghz
24gb 1600 radeon memory
Radeon 6850 1gb
i had 2 6850's but they never worked right in crossfire so i took one out
im trying to play games like NFS Rivals and BF3 as well as Ghost but my system cant seem to handle these games very well Bf3 and Ghost are almost unplayable and nfs rivals i only get about 20 fps on medium settings i have been looking at gpus and cpus and i thinking of upgrading gpu first maybe a 7870 or should i do something else something else?? or should i upgrade cpu first im going with a fx8320 but i dont know witch one i will benifit the most from please help i am open to suggestions

do you think my phenom will last a while or should i do that soon after im just concerned about bottle necking

Depends on your patience with games video quality and resolution, but I think that the phenom will be fine for at least a year. I think it will pair nicely with 7870.
For the video cards - check the new r7 270, 270x prices - these are 7870 refresh. Probably will be slightly faster.

What resolution are you running at and which drivers are you using? BF3 should get 40+ FPS at high settings with the 1GB HD6850 and a OCed 965. You have something holding that card back.

There is nothing wrong with a 965 that runs at 4.7GHz I would upgrade the 6850 first, but you really are missing out on the full potential of that card if it can't run BF3.

sorry meant BF4 mixed them up i have a list that i keep on my performance so i know when somthing isnt right and put the wrong one down

In BF4 the 6850 might be a little slow, but unless you are on Ultra settings at 1080p, it should be playable.

Regardless, the rest of your system is fast enough for a GTX 760:

sorry guys i really feel like a dumb @$$ right now i messed up on two things in my first post the cpu is 3.7 i had it a 4.0 but i wasnt happy with the voltages and its not BF3 its BF4 really sorry first time on this type of forum and got things mixed up. Does this change anything or should i still do video and cpu later?

Even a stock Phenom II 965 is plenty. As long as your PSU is good, go for a new GPU.

Do you know the exact model on the PSU? Some Thermaltakes can be hit or miss, but you should still be fine to run a GTX 760. Total system draw should be under 400W on +12V rail.

XFX's 7870 is a nice find. Not the best brand but not bad also.
760 will be better but they are ~$260
Both 7870 and 760 should work if the PSU managed to start xfired 6850s

Yep you are good to run anything up to a Titan or 7990.
