llo! I have recently attempted a computer build with components I was recommended during a previous thread I had made back in december (which is linked at the bottom of this thread). I finish my build using all of these parts and turn it on, and you could guess that to my surprise it did not work. All fans were rotating and it sounded fine until it wouldn't display on the monitor. Then, after at least 30 seconds of it not displaying it shut itself down. I continue to do this three times and the same result happens every time. Then I notice that the GPU's plug did not have the correct connector to power it plugged in.
I was using an old PSU for my new build, which would previously used in my old computer, which is a Stealth Xstream 2 PSU 700W, and I was reccomended to use this in my new build.
The rest of the parts I used: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2lPEJ
The thread I opened: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1934259/building-600-700-computer.html
Another thread I opened: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1993695/operating-system-computer-wattage-quick-response.html
I am unsure what to do now considering the computer does not work without someone else's advice on helping my getting it working. If you feel it was the power supply that I need replacing could you recommend me one by using the information I have given in the previous thread + the parts I was previously recommended. I am kinda in a bit of a muddle so to speak.
Thanks for reading this thread. - Matthew
