PC Freeze after installing Video card Driver

Hello guys,, recently I upgraded my motherboard and cpu,, but after assembled everything and installed the video card driver,, the screen freeze after restarting the machine,, after the windows logo then thats it the system freezed,, i did everything i can do but no luck

i uninstalled the driver erase everything using driver cleaner and installed the latest driver,, the results is still the same

I'm not really sure if the video card or the PSU is the problem here,, sorry about my bad english


my specs are
CPU : i7 3770k
MOBO: Asus V Maximus extreme z77
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance
GPU: HD 6990
PSU OCZ 1010 Watt

Try a beta or previous driver.

After a motherboard change it's advisable that you re-install Windows, otherwise you'll be plagued with all manner of problems (not least from a shed-load of invalid device drivers installed on the hard drive, as well as an invalid Product ID in the Registry).

Ah, I forgot about that, Windows does need a reinstall. Back-up important files onto an external harddrive or flash drive and reinstall Windows.

yeah already did that first i installed windows 8 OS,, but after windows logo freeze again,, and then i tried installed windows 7. the windows start but the driver of the video card is not installed yet. but when I installed the driver,, the result is still the same T_T
