PSU coil whine because of.....house fan?

I have replaced my PSU twice due to coil whine, only to discover that it has coil whine when my house fan is on (which I'm assuming is on the same circuit). What would cause this?

how close is the house fan to your pc? every electric artifact generates an EM field, if close enough to your pc it could be affecting it thus causing the coil whine.

Turn the fan's breaker off and you'll know if it's on the same circuit as your PC. Ideally you shouldn't have a motor on the same circuit.

It isn't very close, probably 10 feet away. It is in the same room but it isn't extremely close.
