Hello, i've been looking at building a computer for a while now and have everything figured out except the graphics card. I searched for hours upon hours and cannot figure out what to get. My preferred budget is around 400$ for the graphics card alone, but have the money to go a little above that, if 400$ isn't good enough. I'd like to be able to run minecraft at max settings and battlefield 4 with at least close to max settings. Thanks for your time!

The GTX 780 is among the best of the best when it comes to graphics cards and you can find it for around $499 at the lowest on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130952

However, that is $100 more than you want to spend. Intuitively, the next best card in the 700 series is the GTX 770. As mentioned above, the GTX 770 is a great card and can run BF4 on Ultra at 1080p. Yes, it can run Minecraft too... ;) But seriously, you can put some intense shader packs onto Minecraft with this card (or the 780, of course) and get 60+ FPS.

Also, the GTX 770 is a nice option because it is a little cheaper than most cards that can compete with it. Thanks to the money saved, you can sooner upgrade to two cards in SLI mode...

So anyway, I hope that I have helped you in your decision. But whatever you choose, with $400, it will be a good card that will get you Ultra-level performance. :)
