Good day.
A few days ago my Atheros wireless card ceased to work. The icon in system tray shows a greyed-out wireless symbol, with a X to the side. I've never seen this before, and no matter what I try I cannot get the internet to come back on.
I'm typing this on my desktop which is connected via cable.
I have tried 'deleting' the device in Device Manager, and the restarting so w7 can re-find the drivers, while connected via a cable. It does this, but I still get the same result.
I was playing around on another OS the other day, BackTrack 5 to be precise. I had a few teething problems with networking on there, and I put a few commands into the terminal to try and get connected there. That didn't work, so I gave up and rebooted in w7 to do some other stuff. This is when I got the problem, so I think it might be something I've changed in the other OS.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks,
-Lewis.
