it is since you can upgrade to i5/i7's later but you sacrifice performance now since they're more expensive, and that expense has to be to taken from other components like the GPU

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor ($114.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus H81M-K Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($56.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB Video Card ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($19.99 @ Microcenter)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer ($15.99 @ Microcenter)
Total: $467.91

well with the one I listed you can upgrade to a solid i5 later for powerful gaming performance, and a R7 260x can run most of the games you listed in your previous thread well too, it can run BF4, for example, at high settings with MSAA off I believe:
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/02/05/am...

it can run medium settings at 1080p with 70+ FPS, near 80 with Mantle enabled, raise it to high settings and you should still get 60+ FPS, it's a pretty decent graphics card for the price

but yeah unlike the response you got in your previous thread, if you have a budget that doesn't include the OS and monitor, then you can definitely build a PC that can play BF4 for under 500 bucks

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FONIOB0/?tag=pcpapi-20

there's this one which is the same card but a different brand, but it's 30 dollars more expensive, the price on the page is 151 dollars but get it from amazon on the right side under "more buying choices" and its 139.99
