Hello,

Assuming I bought a "good one" (Seasonic, XFX, upper-end Corsair, Antec), would 550 watt PSU be sufficient to run my system?

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($228.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($34.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87M Extreme4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($122.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($41.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($41.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($366.13 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill Line-M MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($54.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($26.97 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Panasonic Laptop-style Blu-Ray burner (not listed on pcpartpicker)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($141.98 @ Newegg)

Assuming it is, I have two further questions:

1) How much "upgrade-ability" would I have left, if any?

2) Given that EVGA says that a 600 Watt power supply is the minimum for a GTX 770, is there another reason (ie warrenty) that I shouldn't get a 550 watt PSU?

Solution
A high quality 550w with enough amps on the 12v rail wil easily power your system.

This SEASONIC made XFX 550w has more than enough power on the 12v rail to run your specs.

Has 45 amps on the 12v rail.

Gold Certified \ Full Modular \ Great for cable management.

The wattage isn't the key here it's the strength of the 12 volt rail.
and the XFX 550 above is more than enough for your specs.

It will also run a GTX 780.
