When I was trying to find out if I could run a Phenom II x6 in my ECS IC780M-A, one of the search engine results sent me here. I thought I bookmarked the thread but now I can't find it.

Does the gold corner position differently for the x6?? I don't THINK I dreamed it... The thread was here on Tom's Hardware.

Solution
These Phenom II x6 CPUs with 95 watt (TDP) Thermal Design Power are supported. Higher (TDP) wattage models are not supported.

The board is a socket AM2+, the Phenom II x6 is an AM3, so I it will not work.
