I have intel I7 960 and i don't think temperature is as good as it can be
It has 4 core, and without loading it is between 50 to 65, after loading ( I noticed on some video game's alpha version) it went over 100.. after that i cleaned fan reapplied thermal paste and made my cpu fan faster by using gigabytes smart fan control from bios.. fan is on 100% now
This fan came with my CPU its not very good but its working on its best
My question is
Is this temperature normal?
If its not what can i do to fix it?
P.S I'm using RealTemp and OpenHardware monitor to find out about my temperature + I also have GPU fan Problem which i think is a causes my PC to shutdown after its loaded on taught games such as bf4 for more than 20 min
Can it be that My gpu is innocent and its my CPU's fault?

info about my PC
Gigabyte assassin v1
intel I7 960
GTX 560 Ti
GTS 250 (for physics)
Vengeance Corsair DDR 3 12GB working on 1066Mhz
PSU corsair 850W

Solution
it is not, over 90 degrees is already pretty dangerous.

are you sure you applied thermal paste correctly? many people apply too much and that could make it conduct heat rather than dissipate it.
is the heatsink in place correctly?

you can also try better thermal paste (if you don't have aftermarket paste already) and a better heat sink assuming you're using the stock. Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste is usually pretty good and most people like it.
and if you're using the stock heatsink, even switching to something like a 30 dollar cooler master hyper evo can make a huge difference.

Well I applied maybe little more because i am trying to cower all of CPU metal cower
About heatsink it has thous terrible plastic locks and i am not sure if its positioned well

oh do not cover all of the CPU chip, that is definitely more than necessary, look up CPU thermal paste application videos, often the best method is just to apply a small but robust dot in the middle of the chip, and let the heatsink press down and spread it throughout the chip and cracks.

and yeah stocks often come with those plastic locks and it's tough to tell, just try your best though, the thing itself is so big you can't really tell by visual, you'll have to get the feel for it.

I think i found a solution I asked same question on yahoo answers and guy told me that he had same CPU which normal temperature is between 40 to 45
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20140218110533AAk5cdE
But you were right CPU position was a problem I just unlocked my heatsink learned all the combinations and with great focus i positioned it better
Now i get best 39c to 42 just like that guy told me i would :) thanks for your help have a nice day
I hope it will not screw things up when its loaded if it will ill let you know
