Hey guys,

I have a homebuilt computer that has been with me for the past 1 1/2 years. Had no issues with it and I will have a quarterly cleaning of it.

However, recently, while I was doing some house chores, I accidentally hit the power button at the back of the CPU. The computer was running at that point of time and was just idling.

After when I tried to restart it, my monitor would go into Power Saving mode and stay that way. My keyboard and Mouse would not light up either.

What i have tried:
1. Replugging the power cables after doing power releases
2. Replugging the DVI cables
3. Replacing DVI cables to HDMI
4. Changing graphics card (it was my cousin's, works on his PC)
5. Reattaching RAM and restarting the CPU with 1 ram instead of 2
6. Detaching Motherboard battery/replacing them
7. Detaching Motherboard to check for issues
8. Shifting the graphics card into another PCI slot
9. Reattaching Graphics card
10. Cleaning RAM, Graphics card, power supply, all fans.

I have attached my monitor to another CPU and it worked, so monitor issue is out. Graphics card does not seem to be the issue either as a replaced graphics card did not work on my CPU either.

I am rather new to all these computer stuff but i did notice all fans were running EXCEPT the AMD fan attached to the processor, which is attached to the motherboard. Wonder if it says anything? The CD drive works fine however.

Thanks for any help! I can't think of any other method.

Hey Outlander, thanks for the reply!

It goes straight into Power Saving, basically just nothing can or will appear on the screen except that notice. My keyboard and mouse are not lighted up either, so I dont think I would be able to enter BIOS too?
