just built computer need help

like the title says i built a new computer my first time and it starts up but keeps restarting when the windows logo starts to show up can any one help me i reused my old sata drive from my past pc.


• AMD FM2 A4 4000 3.0 GHz APU
• 8gb DDR 3 RAM
• Asus F2A55-M LK2 motherboard provides great flexibility and is easy upgrade
• AMD Radeon HD 7480G graphics
• FM2 chip

You need to boot from a Windows installation CD/DVD and reinstall Windows to the hard disk you installed. You cannot simply swap a hard disk from one PC to another as they have different hardware. That could potentially be the issue.

i tryed to use the windows 8 OS i bought but says i can use it because the windows is locked.

Mjax is correct. You either have to repair install, or do a complete reinstall. I've only heard hearsay of people succeed at the former though. It's much more likely that you'll have to reinstall. It's not a big deal.

If that copy is locked you'll need to contact MS customer support. It could be locked because it's an OEM version (locked to a certain PC, obviously not this PC), or it could be because it's already been activated on another PC, or just because that particular key has been pirated and blacklisted by MS.

so how would i reinstall i am very new to this.

ok i ran my windows 8 copy went in to repair then trouble shoot ,reset your PC then it says Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing.
