Bad chip or defective components?

Hello all I recently built a new rig with 4670k and z87x ud3h. So far it's giving me bsod randomly. Sometimes in just a few minutes and sometimes in hours. My first thought was too little voltage at 4.1ghz. So I set it to auto and ran aida64. After 4 hours it still crashed. Is it even possible to fail aida64 with auto voltage? I only overclocked it to 4.1ghz!

You don't have defective components, you have an unstable overclock.

reduce the overclocking and do memtest also did you check your temp are you still using the stock cooler ?

I thought auto voltage will usually provide more voltage than what you actually need not less. I actually have a decent aftermarket cooler.

Auto voltage gave me 1.2v at 4.1ghz and it's still not stable. Hmm...I must have gotten the Monday batch. Ran memtest86 and got 3 passes so I'm guessing memory is okay. Aida64 full load for me is only around 60c.

Clear cmos, update the BIOS to the latest, update the drivers to the latest that came with the motherboard by going to the motherboard's website. Lastly, fresh install the windows.
