So basically i upgraded my Nvidia GT 220 to a Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card. At the moment its paired with a AMD Phenom ii X4 810 which is crippling the GPU's potential. I was wondering what would match the gpus specs to get the most out of it at a budget price ?

Also i will probably have to upgrade my motherboard as well :(

Whats your upgrade budget. The obvious recomendation would be a 3rd or 4th gen I5 but if its a tight budget a 6300 would do fine to

For my budget i was hoping maybe around €200 if that is possible ?

I was looking at a Athlon X4 750K FM2 4MB 100W 4G Box Black Edition. would like to hear you opinion on this one ?

€200 will get you a FX8320 and 990FX series motherboard or FX8320, 970 series motherboard, and a good cpu cooler.

Where are you from? I thought 200 Euros would be close to 200 pounds, but I was wrong. It's $275USD. I would get an i5 with that.

I'm from Ireland :)
Do you have a specific i5 in mind ? they all seem quite pricey

Ok so i did some tweaking and ended up with this, give or take

CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor (£92.39 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler (£12.34 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£35.86 @ Ebuyer)
Total: £140.59

Now i've the problem of ram, just after realizing that i can't use my DDR2 ram sticks. Whats the best way to go with ram (I would be aiming for 8Gb)?
Also any opinions on this setup would be appreciated :)

Don't get the FX6350. It's just an overclocked FX6300. Get either the FX6300 or the FX8320 if you want more power. Also don't get a 780 series motherboard. You don't want a cheap motherboard. Get at least a 970 series. Any 2x4GB 1600mhz RAM kit will be fine. Get whichever is cheapest.

The P2 is old... Of course it would be bottlenecking the 660.
