Are you talking about finding the brand name of the server that is running active directory???

You could run CPU-Z and look at the motherboard. usualy if its Dell or IBM or HP it will say Dell "Motherboard Model" or IBM "Motherboard Model" The other way is to go to the sites, then go to support, and tell it to automaticlly search for your PC make. If they don't find anything its not that make.

AD won't have that info, you need to either populate a different field with it like here http://4sysops.com/archives/automatically-fill-the-comp... or use another tool to capture the info like SCCM or LANDesk, or a number of other tools.

I appreciate your help. I believe this is exactly what I need and will also give me a little more than I was looking for. Thanks.
