My current set up is a:
Motherboard: Gigabyte 8800GMA-UD2H
Processor: AMD Phenom II Black edition, quad core
Ram: 8GB DDR3

I was wondering what the best graphics card possible would be? i was thinking of one in the £100 - £200 range? any advice would be appreciated.

Well, your motherboard can handle basically any graphics card, save for really old ones.

The question you should be asking is what the best graphics card your POWER SUPPLY can handle. And also if it would be an upgrade from what you have now.

So what's your power supply make and wattage, and what's your current graphics card?

Im not too sure on my PSU, how would i go about finding that out? i dont have a graphics card atm, im using the intergrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 on the motherboard

I apologize, and I am astounded - I had no idea the exchange rates had gotten that bad.

As for the OP, you'll have to look at your power supply - there should be a sticker on the side.

The trouble is that if your power supply doesn't have two PCIe pins OR can't supply enough wattage, the card won't run... and if it's a cheap power supply there's a good chance it could fail, AND take your motherboard or graphics card out with it.

I was just giving you a hard time, yeah the 770 has really come down in price, which kind of make sme think they are getting close to a replacement, but no news really on when or what.
