Hi im having problems with my CPU overheating and turning off my pc when i try to play games or run editing and compressing programs like HandBrake if any of you know what that is, i have a MOTHERBOARD: SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX(TM)-9370 EIGHT-CORE PROCESSOR , With 16GB of RAM , and using CORSAIR LIQUID COOLING TX750, I looked up reasons why it might be doing this some people say its because its the liquid cooling but it seams to run fine the fan and liquid sound like there working, my CPU temperature is between 22c and 50c on idle screen goes up and down for some reason, i tried taking off the thermal paste and putting new on and still having the same problems when i play big games like Rome 2 total war and CIV 5 and using handbrake makes my CPU overheat in 5 minutes or so depends on the game and i always play on high but that shouldn't affect my CPU because the liquid cooling i spend almost over 2k on this pc for the hole purpose to make gaming videos for youtube but i cant run the games and programs to make the videos and get them ready to upload them please help D: .ps sorry for bad grammar. im using core temp to see cpu temperature and also want to add that this was a custom build and these are all new parts only had the pc for few months not even .

Solution
Thank you all i found the problem my friend that installed the fan my h60 on my pc had the fan backwards pushing air in not out xD and that put alot of dust blocking to radiator so much dust xD so cleaned that off and got 2 fans and works fine.

well the thing over the CPU with the thermal paste is connected to CPU FAN on the motherboard and the fan where the air goes in is connected to CPU OUT on the motherboard . and im playing LA noire atm and its up to 60c but that game dont make my pc turn off so much

i have one fan that came with the liquid cooling pushing air in i think but no fan on the other side of it . do you really need 2 fans for it i see holes i can put screws in on the radiator but the liquid cooling dint come with 2 fans so i it really needed for it ? and i overclocked my graphics card a bit. i turned that off and let it on default the cpu still heats up .

With the 9370 for sure you would need 2 fans. I would personally opt for a 240 mm radiator. Take the h60 back and get an h100i. The h60 simply can't handle the heat the 9 series chips dish out. But at least put 2 fans on the h60 and turn your CPU settings to normal mode in Bios

I dont have the money for a better liquid cooling but i can get a new fan but does adding 2 fans would it really make a good differences compared to 1 fan that would make it stop overheating and crash a lot less ? and i will look in getting a better liquid cooling system thank you il be getting a new 120mm fan tomorrow :).

The original stock fan that comes with the cpu should be capable of running the cpu at stock clock speed, considering that, the thing about the liquid cooler makes no sense unless I am overclocking which i am not anymore i reset back to default but its still overheats . My bios settings are reset back to default stock clocks speeds and it should be running fine. It isn't, it still crashes. My thought on this is that the liquid cooler isn't functioning correctly or the radiator isn't being cooled correctly.

Yup. You might just have a faulty pump on your hands. The cheapest route you can go is get another SP 120 fan and put it on the other side of rad. If it still overheats then the pump must be bad. My 9370 at 4.8 Ghz pushes my H100i almost to the limits. I had a problem in the beginning with the fans being run at a fixed speed but this was resolved. You should check your Asus Suite and see what Fan Expert says. I know you can customize your fan speed to the CPU Temps. That's what I did. If you end up getting another cooler go for a bigger one. Corsair now has the H105 now which is a thicker 240 mm Rad. They also are compatible with Corsair Link which lets you know Temps and you can make a custom curve for fan speeds. I myself am considering a push pull setup. Hope that helps.

As food for thought. You should check your thermal paste, you may have too much on causing it to over heat. Simple i know but defionatly worth checking. And if your radiater has room for it, then it should have come with two fans. If not two fans are wayyy better then one. But yea, check your thermal paste

Just a heads up core temp doesn't read temperature properly on piledriver cores. Had the same problem with my 8350. Try using cpu id hardware monitor at www.cnet.com it logs minimum maximum and current values such as voltage and temperature for your entire system.

He's saying when it overheats the computer crashes.
