hi first off thanks for I/O so i want to check with ppl if im doing this right an if there is anything more i can do the progs i use are prime95 coretemp gadget occt memtest86+ an as of the post i just read dayz and ibt

I wouldn't run prime for hours and hours;all you're doing is degrading your chip.
( even though Q6600s are tanks )
3 rounds of IBT + 2 rounds of Hyper-Pi 32m should expose any weaknesses in an overclock.
What board? Do you have a fan pointing @ your NB/RAM?
You could use more NB voltage..
and fsb voltage, too.
That seems like a pretty nice q6600 there :)
3.6 is avg decent high daily OC for Q6600.

ill try ibt and hyper-pi out thanks and i took the fan i had off my north bridge as i needed it the other day but it will go back on an ye am expecting to need some nb as i lowered the multiplier and got 4 sticks of ram but dont think it will need this till i get to the ram

doh! see if you can get 3.6 and don't push it too hard on that board.
ibt=3x (lower from 5x) if it passes and temps are OK..go on to Hyper-Pi
Hyper-Pi 32m (the longest one) twice.
