Is this a fairly good build for $800-$900?

Hey guys this is going to be my first time building a gaming PC. Just wanted all of your opinions.

1. CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.50 GHz Six-Core AM3+ CPU 6MB L2 Cache & Turbo Core Technology
(Is it worth going up to the FX-8320?)

2. HDD: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200 RPM HDD
(Not really looking for an SSD)

3. MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory

4. MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P AMD 970 ATX w/ Ultra Durable 4 Classic, On/Off Charge, GbLAN, 2 PCIe x16, 3 PCIe x1, 2 PCI

5. SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO

6. VIDEO: Just switched. Maybe the AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 16X PCIe 3.0?
(Or should I stick with the Geforce gtx 660?)

7. CASE: Doesn't really matter, can find my own (w/ liquid cooling support)

8. LIQUID COOLING: Asetek 510LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler

9. PSU: Corsair CX500 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

10. OPTICAL DRIVE: 24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive

Anything else you guys think I might need? (I have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) Anymore hardware stuff?

Thanks in advance.
