Whenever I try to connect the phone modem to the internal and the modem to the outgoing plugs on the router, the router is assigning wrong IP addresses. For example, lets say the right ip is 192.168.20.* Whenever I put this configuration, If i have my static IP set to 192.168.20.*, my internet works, but if I set it to automatically detect, It gives me 192.168.10.*, and the internet then does not work.

Check the settings in the router. It should have an option for DHCP addresses. You need to make sure that's in the 192.168.2.x range.
