Hello,

I recently received my new Lenovo Y410P laptop in the mail today and I downloaded The Sims 3 and a few expansion packs (Pets, High End Loft Stuff, Late Night). I purchased this specific laptop for the i7 Intel Core processor and the NVIDIA graphics card so I could play this game and some games on Steam/ However, once I downloaded all the packs and started running the game, it told me the graphics card was not recognized and all the graphics settings were changed to low. I've tried changing them back but they will not save. The game looks fine until i load my neighborhood then it only looks like a grey continent with a dark grey background.

Also! My computer has 8gigs of memory and I get a warning saying there is not enough memory to run this game. I know this can't be true, The sims 3 is said to run on 2gigs.

Anyone else have this problem? Is there anyway to fix this?
I need my sims!!

Make sure to update the laptop. Do any windows updates that are available, and check to make sure the graphics card drivers are up to date.

I am having the same issue. I have uninstall ed and reinstalled it 3 times and I have a new laptop which doesn't have anything on it but sims 3. I have updated the computer and it's still having issues.

Appcrash files are in the ts3w folder and I don't know if deleting them would help. Any help is welcome.

My computer says the graphics is unrecognized but I still run the game on the max settings an it runs just fine. Not sure why you are having those issues. Just wanted to put my 2 cents into the conversation.
