I have the fx 8320 combined with asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 mobo. I recently changed the mobo from ga78lmt-usb3. Right now, i have some doubts with respect to the cpu temps and speeds. The CPU idles at 33-36 degrees depending on the ambient temps. At full load, like say playing battlefield 4, the temps go as high as 56 in Core 0 and 57-58 in CPU temp. I'm a little worried about these temps and i also ran the prime95 test and it stabilises at 66 degrees @core which i find to be very high (this is the first time i ran the test). I also noticed another strange thing in CPU fan, on prime95, the fan speeds were just around 4900s (stock coolers run at very high rpm) even when the temp was 66 degrees. But, when playing BF4, the rpm was like 5400 @ temps like 55 degrees @core! Normally the fan rpm is between 2800-3400rpm. Should i be worried about these temps? Are these safe or abnormal?

so these temps are safe and OK? and as with the motherboard, I said I changed from gigabyte 78lmt to Asus m5a99fx! I returned the gigabyte because of its poor vrm and power phase designs!

sorry thought it is the opposite xD and yes these temps are very safe but don't overclock except after buying an aftermarket cooler
