They are both around $70 and have 7.1 surround. The 1500 matches my color scheme more, but I would like your opinions on which is a better headset.

Solution
ive had mine over 2.5 years and recently(about 4 months ago) had them replaced with no issues due to a plastic bracket on the ear cup fracturing.
they replied to my rma withing 48 hours and i had a post paid rma the next day. it took 11 days from posting to get the new headset back.
the new headset is slightly different in that it seems better made. the plether on the cups hasnt disintegrated like it did on the old pair.
as for connection issues ive not had it with either headset. i did however have a slight distortion on the beep. i emailed them back and they said i could return the new headset also... im still debating whether to because it doesnt seem to affect the overall sound quality.
to be honest i didnt buy them for there sound...

The 1500 has 50mm drivers, so doesn't it have better sound quality? And where does it say that the g430 has a better mic? Would you mind sending me a link? Thanks for replying.

depends what you call better. 50mm drivers will often mean you have lots of bass but little in the middle or high end for movies and music this is often better if all you listen to is bass heavy tracks. but for gaming the middle is where you want the sound anf 40mm nimdim drivers tend to hit this sweet spot.
reason, to much bass can hide things like footfalls and rustling equipment from other avatars running about on the map. so no not necessarily better.
my 1 big peeve with both is the inline audio controls. every headset i have had over the last 10 years that has 1 has broken there first.
i have the g930's and have no complaints. the sound is good as is the mic so i can say logitech make good gaming gear also there pretty much welded to my head all day and most of the time perfectly comfy (hot days you do get swamp ear).
all i can add is go to somewhere like pc world and see if they have any display models you can try for fit.

I thought that 50mm drivers just widened the range of sound that the headphones could produce. The g930's were my first choice, but as I looked through the reviews and I saw problems like disconnection and crackling sounds. May I ask for your opinion on them and how long you had them? I don't want to spend $100 on a headset and have it breaking on me after a year.

to be honest i didnt buy them for there sound quality i was just sick of breaking wires on expensive headsets every 6 months or so.
over all the audio is decent but not outstanding. you would get similar quality from a much cheaper wired headset but thats neither hear nor there.
but as i say if you do buy them you have no issues with returns if they do fault on you...

if your wanting great sound why not look at stenhiesers they are superior to all 3 we have discussed.

I have the same problem as well only thing that after reading what you said about senheiser I found PC 330 and If I'd give you a choice of G430, Vengeance 1500 and PC 330 and said that I'll use them 80% of the times purly for gaming and looking for best Sound depth and target acquisition which one would you recomend ?

my choice would be the G430's for there price, also there a very sound neutral headset which is best for gaming. they sill sound good for music as the bass is still there but not overpowering.
the vengance headset has comfort issues (depending on your head shape and size).
pc 330 just cost more but are equally as good as the g430's

i tried both and I have the impression that the G430 fatigues less my ears in the game, and the virtualization of the speakers position is more effective for some reason. I guess their algorithm works better for my perception.

for your info corsair have a significant issues with their products and denies this fact but, some Corsair Vengance 1500 v2 idk about v1 but v2 produces for someone a constant hissing sound, you could tweak around this in windows 7 and 8 +8.1 but with windows 10 you might have issues

its due to their software that the headset uses i bet

currently working to fix this issue, with no luck so far :/
