Hi guys,

I am a complete and utter noob when it comes to building computers and I was hoping someone could tell me whether the build I am considering would work well or not. I am looking to purchase through NCIX Canada since they will build the computer for a small fee. The main reason I am looking to buy a computer is because I want to be able to game with the Oculus Rift when the consumer model is available. In the mean time I would like to play games like Skyrim and Guild Wars 2. This is what I was considering:

- ASRock 970 EXTREME3 ATX AM3/AM3+ DDR3 CrossFireX 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard ($75)
- AMD FX-6300 Six Core Processor ($120)
- Inwin GT1 White ATX Mid Tower Case 3X5.25 EXT 6X3.5 2X2.5INT Front USB HD Audio No PSU ($75)
- ASUS DRW-24F1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer Black ($25)
- G.Skill F3-2400C11D-8GXM PC3-19200/DDR3 2400 8GB 2x4GB CL11-13-13-31 1.65V RipjawsX Memory Module ($90)
- Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64Bit SP1 DVD OEM ($100)
- Powercolor R9 270X Devil 1150MHZ 2GB 5.6GBPS GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card ($250)
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA3 64MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Drive OEM ($70)
- TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450MBPS Dual-Band Wireless N PCI-E Adapter Atheros 3T3R 2.4/5GHZ 802 11A/B/G/N ($40)
- Be Quiet! Pure Power L8 500W ATX 12V 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply Exclusive 120mm Fan ($50)
- (2x) Cooler Master R4-L2R-20 120mm Red LED Case Fan 2000RPM 69CFM 19DBA 3/4 Pin (2 x $9)

I included what I will be paying for each part so you guys can tell me whether any parts are not worth the money. Anyways, again, I am completely clueless when it comes to this stuff, and would very much appreciate if any of you could tell me whether this build would "work". Does it look ok? Is a 500W PSU appropriate for this build? Thanks so much! :)
