So I transferred file onto my WD passport and then removed the same files from my laptop because it was taking up too much space. But when I checked later on my passport I can see all my pictures on it in the file but whenever I try to open them or copy them it keeps saying the file cannot be found or was deleted. Is there something wrong with my passport or am I always suppose to actually keep the original files on my laptop no matter what? I always thought that hard drives like these work the same way as USBs where you can transfer files to it and they will appear the exact same way on the hard drive, but all my files that I moved in it are gone now.
