hi all, i am trying to update my mobo and have the latest file but it's asking for a picture file. what's that!? and anything else i should know? it's my first time.

a picture file can be a JPEG, PNG ect...If your motherboard is working fine with all other components and there is no real need for you to update, and it's asking for that, I wouldn't bother really.

I think that's the boot-up splash screen. Shouldn't make any difference to your performance.

What's your specs? What makes you think your scores are too low?

intel core i5 3570k at 4.4ghz, with a evga classified gtx 780 oc'd to 135/500. i'm getting unigine heaven at 1085 and firstrike 7870. i should be higher and i'm not getting hot, hell the gpu is peaking at 60c!

well, the GPU scores and such are never usually accurate, I was on nova bench and my Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC R9 290X OC'd to 1250MHz on the GPU Clock was being beaten by a GTX 680 Stock un-OC'd in 3D FPS, by about 200 when my card got 1500. That is outrageously wrong and there is no chance in hell that the GTX 680 would beat it, so don't base the performance by the performance test scores, their not always right.

-And by the way, in gaming my card achieved much higher FPS, just given worse off scores.

it's totally not a huge deal, but i swear i got better scores when i got the card, and i havn't done anything crazy that would damage the card, so i'm really just confused!

also my Intel i7 4930k was getting a 7.9/10 on the CPU scores. My brother with the 3770k did the same tests and got a 7.8, there is no way that it would perform that close, especially in calculations/second.

but the total point is, there shouldn't be a need to update to this bios if everything is running smoothly. And the scoring of components is just way out sometimes. The way to make your card shine over others is just pump all settings to ultra and get a really good FPS average on really graphic intense games, that is the ultimate performance test.

well, If it is only false performance readings, I hate that too, but in games; That's when the true performance test is shown. You can update your bios, but there won't be any if not at all of a difference in performance readings.
