The reason I would like to upgrade is because Dark Souls II will be released next month and It would be nice to run it smoothly on maxed settings. Althought system requirements are not known yet, It's safe to assume they will be higher than Dark souls one, and I do experience stuttering and performance loss when playing it now.
So the question is, would it make big difference to upgrade my cpu to FX-6300(which costs here in Poland ~135$ and 150$-170$ would be my budget limit) in order to get noticeable boost in performance?
This is my current gaming rig:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz (OC'ed at stable 4ghz)
GPU: Radeon HD 7950 vapor-x 3gb
MOBO: ASRock 990FX Extreme3
RAM: G.SKILL DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 RipjawsX
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series 500W ATX, 80 Plus Bronze
I'm also aware power supply might be a little too low for this build.
