mouse shorting out

my mouse (perixx-2000x) has started to short out and wierdly it happens more often when I do something demanding eg it might short out for a sec or two when internet browsing or an undemanding game but if I play somthing like planetside 2 it shorts out for 1-10 seconds and happens very often.
I have had the mouse for about 1 year
please hep it's driving me crazy!

its definitly the mouse I tried it on 3 out of 4 usb ports on my laptop and one on my desktop and though one on my laptop is a bit loose they all worked fine with another mouse I had, thanks for the suggestions though:)

would this also cause the LEDs to turn off because when it stops it just turns off and no lights work thanks for your answer I think you might be right:(

sad to say i looked all over there site and found no warranty information. likely it will be in the box if you still have it. but either way if its less than a year old you may be able to get a replacement from the shop you bought it from even if its online retailer.

all you will need is proof of purchase.
