My desktop doesn't have the option to search for wifeless internet, it is too old. So I had to buy a adapter. And if I don't have internet on the computer how can I download drivers . can I use a laptop or will they have to be downloaded to the computer I'm wanting too use

Plug it in, go to device manager...look for other devices and try to install a driver.

Guess no cd came with the wifi dongle. Sometimes it might also have a small bit of flash drive with drivers on...otherwise you'll have to download the drivers for the wifi dongle, and install them on the pc you want to use dongle with.

You may also need your windows cd to install some internet services.

OK so when I plug it in. It says welcome to the found new hardware wizard.
Can windows connect to windows Update to search bfor software?
1- yes. This time only
2-yes.now and every time I connect a device
3-no. Not this time
I click number 1. Then
If your hardware came with an installation CD or floppy disk insert now.
1- install the software automatically (recommended)
2- install from a list or specific location(advanced).
I click number 1 then
Please wait while wizard searches and after a second it says recommended to connect to the internet so the wizard can search online and look for appropriate software .
1- yes connect and search for the software on the internet.
2- no. Do not connect to the internet now.
I don't have internet. Lol that's why I bought the adapter. Then it says cannot install this hardware. Sorry this is so long but its the whole setup process.
