Is my cpu: (i5 2500 3.30GHz) being bottlenecked by my GPU GeForce GTS 450

My PC was built by someone who told me that is was futureproofed and that I could update my graphics card if I wanted to. Now, my question is whether my CPU is being bottlenecked by my GPU and if I should consider upgrading to a better card to get better performance without having to update my CPU.
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500 Sandy Bridge @ 3.30GHz
GPÜ:NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1023 MB

You could definitely benefit from a GPU upgrade without needing to upgrade your CPU right away. That CPU will still handle game really well. Which one you would need to get depends on your budget, what games you play, and the resolution of your monitor.
