Can you help me build a home theater pc for sub £150? Need to be able to play 1080P and be as small as possible. Also would like an optical out for sound so the surround sound etc. I can build it myself just don't know the best value for money parts for this sort of system.
Also what OS would you reccomend loading onto it? It's just going to be sat behind the TV connected via HDMI.

Solution
This AMD APU will do just fine in 1080p videos, but won't be zippy in normal CPU applications. It will do you well as strictly home theatre though.

I have a spare windows 7 OS disk which is not in use so can use that. Can you recommend a decent mini mobo, CPU and PSU I should be able to find the rest cheap enough.

Thanks

Make sure that the extra copy of Windows 7 isn't OEM.
