I have added a BlacX 5G Snow to my Windows 8 Pro computer and it is not showing up in file explorer. It shows up in the device manager and Devices and Printers, but not the file explorer. How can I copy files to the device if it's not showing up in the file explorer?

Best solution

I assume you have installed a new drive in it for which you would need to enter disk management and initialize the drive.
run diskmgmt.msc
If the Initialize a Dive wizard doesnt start automatically then rt click on the drive and select new simple volume.

Worked perfectly, thank you! By the way, the wizard didn't start which is why I was stumped.
