What do I really need

I have bought everything for my new system except a GPU. I've been looking at GTX760's mostly because of the price increases on the 270x, but now that the 750Ti is out I'm wondering if I really don't need that much (760/270x) power.

I don't play a ton of games just a few (LOTRO, might play GW2 with the new computer and planning to get Rocksmith 2014). The 750Ti is ~$100 cheaper but also new and might have some early issues. I can afford either so that's not the problem. I don't mind spending a bit extra for longevity (computer will hopefully last as long as the current one 8+ years). Is a GTX760 still worthwhile or is the new technology (and cheaper) the way to go?

One thing I missed 1 monitor currently 22" Samsung and no plans to go to dual monitor or anything like that

Hey

Well, GTX 7xx series are rebranded 6xx series,
though AMD's are the same, there is nothing very special new or new technology in those graphics cards. (280x/270x etc are rebranded 7xxx series )
ofcourse it will be outdated, the next day there will be something better and just around the corner :), ( what do I mean by this is don't worr with the longebility! )

If you don't play as much games, a 760 will last you long :)
