Hi All,

I have recently purchased a PC for work (specs below) and was wondering if you could help me, I have two VGA monitors, the first monitor, connected via VGA works fine with no problems at all. The second one is plugged into the DVI port via an adaptor - this one just refuses to work :(

Both monitors work fine, I've checked the BIOS and enabled multiple screen capability as its an on board chip but its not even recognising the second monitor and it just reads "Check Signal Cable". At first I thought it was the adaptor so I bought another but it has the same effect, secondly I tested the connection by plugging in a colleagues DVI monitor (DVI to DVI) and it worked.

I've checked on line and every site says I can run dual monitors and the on board graphics can handle it (Intel HD 4400) please can you help???

My next step is to buy a VGA to DVI cable which is probably about £8 but cheaper than a new monitor.

If that doesn't work I don't know what else to do, I've never really worked with on board graphics before, my home PC has run both monitors though an AMD 6870 and a GTX680 with no issues what so ever. Please help if I'm missing something really obvious? I've considered updating the Bios but not sure if that will help?

PC Specs
Windows 7 (64bit)
Intel Core i3-4130 CPU - Haswell
