Go with the 760 unless you see the need to OC. by itself, the 4440 is a powerful cpu and it would even easily drive a760 sli when you may want to do that.

I agree, the performance increase you would see between the 4440 and the 4670k is less than the performance increase between the R9 270X and the GTX 760.
You get more performance for your dollar with the GTX 760 and 4440.
