Solution
You should look at 650+ watts so that you keep the PSU from running near 100% capacity. Its better to have headroom with a PSU, and its typically not much more $. Since you chose corsair already, Corsair CS750 is decent.

hi fester thanks for the quick info mate

iv added a Corsair 750 watt PSU to the build list is this more than enough im taking into account the headroom you mentioned for the PSU i also dont want the card to bottleneck on itself if i dont provide enough :p

this rig altogether is costing me £1619 is this a reasonable price for a strong gaming PC?

thanks again,
Dan

Its a reasonable price, I built the same rig on a website and ended up at $2200 US, vs yours converted to $2600
Some things that are not so good about this build:
Non-K chip - wont support overclocking. You got a water cooler, so...
Ivy bridge - its older. Socket will not allow upgrades to newer chips. Not too big a deal, the CPU is not the problem in most gaming rigs
Motherboard is Z77. Again older socket, new boards have more features and support new chips.
