How Do I Know If My Video Card Isn't Working? The Fan Isn't Spinning.

Sorry, I should have included more details. It's a GTX 670 FTW. I was playing an online game for awhile but I stopped. A few days ago I decided to play again and was getting only 7 FPS but I used to get 60+. I did some GPU tests with 3DMark and had very poor results. So I took a look at it and noticed the fan wasn't spinning.

Generally, if the fan on the video card isn't spinning, it means it's not working as intended, it should always be spinning when it's on.

Not sure if it's even possible but i imagine you're getting low fps due to the video card running within its limits of temperature range but relying purely on passive cooling from its heat pipes.

An RMA is in order....



Of course, it may just be something stuck thats stopped the fan from spinning, blow anything oyt with a can of compressed air if you can or give the fan a quick spin with your finger while it's in your system to see if that spins it up, otherwise....RMA
