PC Freezing, Blue Screening and Boot Disk Failure.

Hey there

The problem is that around 60 minutes (I have timed it) the PC will freeze while playing a game or just idling. The mouse will be unlocked but applications will freeze entirely. After a few moments the PC (Win 8) will flash a blue screen and then immediately reset. After rebooting, the operating system fails to boot (boot disk failure.

I have already:

PC specs from CPUID:

BIOS version is F9.

What else do you geniuses need to know? What needs replacing? How do I fix this beast?

Thanks for the help!

  1. Your GPU drivers up to date? An out of date driver can cause you a world of issues.

GPU drivers are the latest AMD drivers. I should have mentioned that.
  3. What 750w power supply did you install? Try getting the error code for the blue screen. It should help get an idea what is causing this.
  4. Only 2 gbs of DDR with windows 8?
... i wonder if you're running out of memory...

I wouldn't think that would cause a blue screen. It would be slow as hell and pagefile would have to pick up the slack.

Well if there is a blue screen, there is an important message it's telling you.
You can use this: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html to actually read the dump files
