Will the graphics look better on another monitor even though they are both 1080p?

Hello there,

I have a gtx 770 and feel my monitor/TV is not showing the graphics to its full potential. I am currently using a cheap, 22 inch TV that i bought in after-Christmas sales. It IS 1080p (it claims to be) and runs at 1080x1920, but the text in games isn't the best and I'm not convinced it is 1080p.

Anyway, If I play with monitors that are both 1080p but different makes, one will be visually enhanced than the other. Why is this? They are both 1080p...

A lot of products claim to have X, or produce Y.

But you'll notice that the quality of the components still matter, if you buy an off-brand TV with a poor panel, the picture is going to be that, poor.

If you buy a $1500 Samsung, the panel will likely be great, and the picture quality will be great.

I cannot comment on that specific monitor (I own all ASUS monitors), but the reviews look good, and that's generally what you should base your purchase off of. But ideally, going to a brick and mortar store to check out display monitors, and comaring them in store, would give you a better idea. I'm unsure if you have large PC stores in the UK, but in California we have a Frys, which displays a multitude of monitors.
