lets start by saying i have a metal case
when ever i try setting up my microphone i always go to properties and click listen and i hear my voice when i talk but there is some sort of a loud background noise i cant explain how it sound but something like (brrrrrrrrr)
the sound goes away when i put my hand on the case (and no its not the fan or anything)
any way people told me i need to ground my pc and thats by using the 3pin wall power connector (idk if thats correct name)
i did and i still hear the noise
maybe i have bad grounding in my house
is there any way to ground the case other than that
or is it even another problem

ps: not all of the screws on the motherboard are screwed, if that might help in any way

There could be a handful of reasons:
* Electromagnetic interference, typically caused by a budling cables together, specifically ones carrying difference frequencies/signals I.E. low voltage sound or ethernet wrapped around a cable carrying line voltage (120V/240V in U.S. or similar) .
* Crappy Microphone
* Need updated drivers for motherboard/sound card.

Start there. Let me know if that helps.

Well not to point out the obvious, but if your last mic worked good, your new one is probably the problem. Unless the microphones used different plugs (3.55MM vs USB), then chances are you are the proud owner of a junky mic.
