So I am building my first gaming PC and will have all my parts shipped to me very soon. I want to get Windows 8 64 bit for my build but have kept coming across people saying theres compatibility issues with some builds or opticle drives and what not.

My questions is this still an issue? Windows 8 has been out for a while now so I would think they could have found a solution to all this.

Anyways my build is as follows...

Case: Corsair 200R
Motherboard: ASRock Z87Extreme3
CPU: intel i5 4670k
Graphics: about to buy either (evga gtx 650, or 650 ti. or maybe asus geforce gtx 650 ti ? any input on these also would be nice
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224BB
Power Supply: Corsair CX600 80 bronze cert.

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!!! ty!

Windows 8 and 8.1 are separate OS and thus you should buy the one you prefer.
Also 64 bit or 32 bit would depend upon your installed system memory. If greater than or equal to 4 gb, go with 64 bit else 32 bit.
A good option to consider for Graphics card is the AMD R7 270X or if your budget is flexible, go for 280X.
Both give good value for money.

You will be great with Windows 8/8.1 no problems at all. For graphics go for for AMD's 7790. It has the same price as GTX 650 Ti and it's slighly faster than the nvidia card. Or if u have a good budget go for the 7850 :)

Also i am assuming i want to get the 64bit not 32???

thank you all!
